I've got a spare copy of Frank Elgee's classic 1930 book, Early Man in North-east Yorkshire (John Bellows: Gloucester) for sale. It's a large format book (4to), A4 in size. It's a bit worn and half the spine's gone, plus the covers are faded to front and back, but none of the pages are loose and all the plates are there.

Elgee and his wife Harriett combed the North Yorkshire Moors and found numerous previously unknown neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age sites - many of which are described here. Illustrated throughout with many line-drawings, this is an essential work to any Yorkshire archaeo-types.

Usually copies of this book sell for between £70-£100. But cos of the condition of the spine I only want £30.00 for it (that EXCLUDES postage costs, which are an additional fiver [it's a big heavy book] - but if you live locally, you can come and collect it if y' like!). If none of you MegPortal fans decide to buy it, it'll end up on eBay in a few weeks time!

If you want it, or know someone who'd love a copy, send me an email: megalithix@gmail.com
