Spinal Tap's Stonehenge theory
For Nigel Tufnel, the builder of Stonehenge was trying to turn the megaliths into a huge amp - that presumably went up to 11...
One comic creation has made an unlikely return to the (computer) screen: Nigel Tufnel, lead guitarist with Spinal Tap, has made a series of films for National Geographic, unveiling the fictional rocker's unusual theories about Stonehenge. According to Tufnel, Stonehenge was built by one man and was in fact a giant stone-age amplifier.

London Bridge went west. An oil-rich Texan could use 50-ton cranes in a winter-night storm to load stones into containers. Is there a person who watches the security cam. non-stop?

I'm a bit wobbly on "eastern avenue" being 339, or 307 bearing.
What is the usual understanding of the reason for that avenue?

The eastern arm of the stonehenge avenue is aligned 339 degrees looking from the Avon towards Knighton .The Durrington Walls avenue , as close as I can work out from a small sectiom of amp thatt may haev a dodgy northing ,is aligned 306 degrees looking from the Avon .

I have found another map of the DW avenue ,this time from Anthony Johnson's new book .This gives an azi of 300 degrees which would mean that it would not meet the Knighton barrow being out by approx 350m . Once again the caveat of accurate northings or being able to tell whether true or grid north .
