Guildford archaeology & history group
October 8 - An introduction to Graham Hayes' finds and other early work on the Group led by Audrey Monk, followed by finds processing if time.
Group meeting 7.30pm in the Museum Classroom.
November 12 - 'Recent archaeological investigations in south-west Surrey' An illustrated talk by David Graham. Public meeting 7.30pm in the United Reform Church on Portsmouth Road. £2 for non-members.
December 10 - 'Antarctica' an illustrated talk by Peter Youngs on his recent visit. Group meeting in the classroom at Guildford Museum.
January 14 2008 - 'An up-date on recent work on the Roman site at Ashtead' an illustrated talk by David Bird. Public meeting 7.30pm in the United Reform Church on Portsmouth Road. £2 for non-members.
February 11 - Finds Processing. Group meeting in the Museum Classroom.
March 10 - 'Medieval Woking' an illustrated talk by Richard Savage on recent research in Old Woking. Public meeting 7.30pm in the United Reform Church on Portsmouth Road. £2 for non-members.
April 14 - Group AGM in the Museum Classroom, followed by a talk by Stephen Dyer 'recent work and change at Butser Ancient Farm'.
May 12 - 'Anglo-Saxons' an illustrated lecture by Paul Hill. Public meeting 7.30pm in the United Reform Church on Portsmouth Road. £2 for non-members.
June 9 - 'Roman Roads - recent work by the Roman Studies Group' an illustrated talk by David Calow. Group meeting in the Museum Classroom.
