I've been reading Robin Heath's Stone Circles (A Beginner's Guide) in which he mentions the above and gives GR SD 292 739. I don't have a detailed map for that area.Could anyone tell me the nearest place to it? Apparently it is best to visit in winter as otherwise it gets overgrown. It is apparently a quote"concentric ring with commanding views with cobbled floor".Be grateful for any info. Thanks. Spiritseeker.

| Ulverston. As ever, Aubrey Burl is your best source of informatiom about stone circles. Suggest you get yourself a copy of his "Guide to the Stone Circles of Britain, Ireland & Brittany".
