Though the article below by John Vincent Bellezza was written in 1998, his findings are interesting.. Presumably Chinese archaeologists are researching Tibet's ancient history after their annexation but can't find anything on the web.
Bellezza has written a book called Divine Dyads, which goes back to the neolithic/bronze sites in Tibet before Bon or Buddhism faiths came on the scene..

I saw a documentary on the German equivalent of the Discovery cahnnel which showed some outlines of old buildings and entire cities built into mountains as seen from the river where the german archeologist was rafting. Apparantly not much of this has been explored from close up.
There is also the question if the Chinese Authorities have any interest in allowing any vestiges from the Tibetan past to undermine their claim on the region.
We need to watch this space.

The brutal annexation and 'colonisation' of Tibet, has destroyed much of their history and culture and of course their religious monasteries so I suppose that anything that does come out will have an unfortunate bias. The good thing about the stone age is that you really can't make up stories about it to fit in with a chinese perspective, or in fact, any other ethnic make up..
His book Divine Dyads is printed by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, and he lists stone rows and circles, though these may be surrounding burials. Not recommended for general read, too many descriptive Tibetan words, for all the gods, spirits, sacred geography etc....
