What is the point of finding fantastic prehistoric sites and mothballing them - can't we investigate it fully and find another way of protecting it that celebrates the site and it's context/significance?

Keen..............How do..................What amazes me is that these new roads somehow manage to decimate all sorts of places. School playing fields and areas of outstanding natural beauty, are prime examples. Yet golf courses miraculously manage to remain untouched.
