Moved from "Stones Forum":

I wanted to submit a comment here, but the link's
address is a mile long, so I've pulled it.

Does anybody know how to fit a long address, chop it or summat?

Put it in as an HTML link.

For example

<a href="http://www.oldstones.com">Link to oldstones</a>.

Replace the bit between the quotes with your long address.

The link will look like this:

Link to oldstones

[Edit: obviously the address is made up. And most stones are "old"!]

Thanks Jim.

You can also use 'BBCode' but only in the forum at the moment, I should get this applied to story comments too:

(url=www.oldstones.com)Link to oldstones(/url)

You have to replace my ) brackets with ] brackets as it won't let me type them

Let's just test that: totalgeek.org

Click the 'BBCode' link below the message reply box for more codes you can use.

We have a green 'URL' button below the posts which should do this job but I've realised it isn't working (doh!). All the other buttons seem to work, I'll have a look.
