I've never come across this before. My mind is boggled.
(Regretting now not having taken a day out when the ferry from Helsinki to Gdansk stopped at Visby).

Boggled here too. 350 stone ship settings on the island of Gotland alone. They look amazing
Come on Easyjet (or even Ryanair at a pinch) lets get to Gotland ! Mind you if its Ryanair it'll probably call it Stockholm !!!!!

Believe me, Gotland is full of this stuff. Historically it is a very wealthy island. They've traded with Russia, the Middle East and Far East since times began. The 350 stone ships are just one feature. Then there are Stone Age remnants, cairns and forts as well. And beautiful medieval churches, windmills and much more. And Visby itself is a jewel. A bit of googling will tell you all about the place.
