A German man who believes adventurers regularly crossed the Atlantic Ocean 14,000 years ago plans to use a 41-foot-long raft made of reeds and eucalyptus to make the voyage.

Despite a lack of evidence that such crossings occurred, Dominique Gorlitz says the two-month journey he and 11 others will make will prove that people could have traveled across the ocean in prehistoric times.
