I changed my computer, still only on Win2000. I downloaded Google earth. I find that the pictures are at least three years old. Aussie ones anyway. Do they upgrade?

They do upgrade, but it depends on the location as to what source they use. There's also not a lot of need to retake photos every few years as in many places things don't change that much. It also tends to cost a lot of money to take air photos since you have to rent the planes etc. I know most of the Google Earth is satellites, but I'm sure not all of it is.
