I finally managed to log on through firefox, and even though the page had 'changed' I was still listed as anonymous. This could be due to one or two reasons (or both!) :

1. I don't tick 'Accept Cookies' in the settings submenu of Firefox, so my log-in may not be recognised for this reason alone, or.....
2. Firefox may not be compatible with the websites log-in process. Either way, it didn't work so I managed to log-in with the latest version of IE and default cookies.

Maybe some cautions posted on the front page somewhere might be helpful. Could just be the way I'm setup.......in which case, ignore these 'not-so-helpful comments !

Regards:

Ken.

Ken,
We are definitely compatible with Firefox, a lot of our visitors use it. We do require cookies to be enabled for the user IDs to work, that's all we use them for.

As you say you adjusted the cookies I'm not sure why it's still not working for you - any ideas anyone?

I've added your other message to the 'slow' thread below.
Andy

ANDY B......

Thanks for that. Sorry I've been so slow in responding. I have to travel some distance to and from work, plus early starts, so the day tends to be a bit long with not a lot of time for stuff. I think I've got the log-on issues sorted. Also been busy fielding replies to responses, etc. and if I'm not too careful, it's easy to get bogged down replying to people when much could be acheived with face to face conversation.

Regards to you and the team,

Ken.
