Application for full planning permission for 3 buildings, namely a dwelling, garage and garage workshop at Avebury, Wiltshire.
I hope that you are able to take an interest in the planning process and send your comments about the application to Kennet District Council. All the contact details are listed above, and you can comment by: telephoning their offices, writing a letter, or by email.
Comments made about the application help Kennet District Councils planning officers decide the outcome of the planning application. The site seems to be well outside the circle and at the W end of the High Street. Let's hope that there is a thorough excavation of the site however.

A watching brief would be obligatory - perhaps the best attended in history?

there's saxon at that end, the settlement spread along the Herepath road. Early 6th c "grubenhaus" found in the Glebe car park, would that be the one opposite the village shop?

I wouldn't mind knowing the boundaries of the "World Heritage Site", if anyone knows.

Avebury World Heritage Site Interactive Map pages.
The map shows all the key archaeological monuments and local features of interest within, and around the, World Heritage Site.
Each monument / feature on the map has a link associated with it and further information, such as detailed information, photos, videos etc. can be accessed by selecting that link.
