Can anyone help.?
I want to find a 'day' for historical dates,like 15th oct 1066 etc. I know there is a formula for calculating this ,but I've forgotten. can't find anything by google. Roy

Answer: it was a Thursday.

(only joking of course, but there's a 1 in 7 chance that I'm right)

I've had a quick look and found a lengthy FAQ on calendars in general:

and there's always wikipedia:

Thanks Jim . I worked it out (think) it was Sunday, and William I should have been in church. not playing on the beach at Hastings, Roy
