Why is it, within about 5 minutes of coming on this site, I can usually find a cache placed at a sensitive archaeological site?

The guidelines clearly don't allow this:
http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx

A few examples:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=454797

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=456349

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=275762

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=d05e7728-e897-49bf-a3d3-c302004091fd

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=3f6466d7-5549-410c-b642-21a28c69fc7d

Is anyone going to do anything about this?
Thanks
Andy

Greetings!

They make your point for you, but they seem to think that they are the only ones that should be allowed to disturb sites.

If there is a site that exists where we could complain about the foolish practices of people with too much time on their hands, and too little brains in their heads to the authorities, please post it. The " treasure hunters" over here show the same dis-respect.

"I think megalithic is afraid of some no nowt cacher finding something while out caching i.e some kind of fossil or bone or what ever those kinds of folk crawl about on their hands and knees with a toothbrush look for.
Would not look good that some group paying millions a year for research find nothing and then the common man finds something of great interest."

I happen to be a geocacher and a regular of this site. Geocachers aare not the ones who are the biggest treat to megalithic sites. Usually the cache or microcache is hidden near the place of interest (megalith or other). that's a family obby allowing people to find out about less known locations...

Have a look at all the visit notes for this one, a number of people have been unashamedly dismantling walls and moving stones at an abbey!
(you haved to click the link for all visit notes at the bottom)

Theres a tupperwared cache hidden in the middle of scheduled How Tallon Cairn on Barningham Moor. Next time I'm up there, I'll get a picture & post it.

Maybe the way forward with this, is for someone to actually get prosecuted. Whoever placed the cache in How Tallon looks to have moved stones to create a hollow for the box.

Please do. At least if we can get some evidence to present some of the ruder and more arrogant geocachers.
