Both of last years trenches inside the henge have been reopened and extended.
3 large trenches have been opened in the middle of the henge searching for post holes of the second timber circle.
At Woodhenge Mark Gillings from Leicester uni has opened 2 trenches.
One is an old trench that Cunnington first dug.
They are looking for two disputed stone holes and some dateable material.
The second trench is across the remains of the bank as Cunnington mentioned that midden material was found there in her notes.
The Cursus is being test pitted later in the week so nothing to see as yet.
