Please excuse my barging in with what may be an off topic request. I hope it won't be considered TOO off!
Loie and I have taken several trips to visit prehistoric sites in the US and Europe. Most of our travels have involved megalithic sites, but we've managed to find others as well: Scara Brae, Cambous; Anasazi and Hawaiian petroglyphs; Cave of Niaux; the temple wells of Sardinia; museums. All our trips are self-catering and we compile our own itineraries. We call these trips "Driving the Stone Age." We'd like to branch out and do more non-megalithic exploring, seeing Mesolithic rock art sites, villages, painted caves, good museums, etc.
Are there kindred souls here? Folks who are investigating prehistory kind of "in general"? Not according to country, or type of site, but winkling out the best places and experiences to understand all aspects of our prehistoric roots? Do you folks know of another forum I should visit?
We've been members of the Stone Pages for years, and of The Modern Antiquarian for a couple years, and actually met some folks from TMA on our DtSA trip to Wiltshire and Brittany. So those forums we know pretty well. Any advice you could give on how to discuss travel with broad prehistoric interest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million!

BuckyE-- I don't think your comment is at all off-topic. The site has set ups to include almost any "man-made" pre-historic site (including rock art), some natural features (stone outcroppings,) some "historic" sites (early Christian crosses) and museums discussing the same things. It's not just the stones anymore!
Are you interested in discussing suggested "pre-historic" itineraries? And if so, in what area?
