It's now 3 years since Gerald Hawkins died.
Since his death I have been working with his American colleagues at Stonehenge checking his predicted alignments.
During research amongst Geralds archive we have unearthed a rare 1964 35mm film which has now been converted to an all region DVD.
The film shows Gerald explaining his theories inside Stonehenge and the successful filming of the summer solstice sunsrise, winter solstice sunset and a lunar eclipse in December 1964.
The film also has Prof Richard Atkinson (with his famous "These people were what I call howling barbarians, practicaly savages.." quote)
Also appearing on the film are a young Patrick Moore, Dr Glyn Daniels, Stuart Piggott and a very rare interview with Prof Alexander Thom talking about elipses.
With an all star cast including a handfull of dotty druids
If anyone would like a copy please email me on gtour@ic24.net for more details,
PeteG

A few comments from people after seeing the film.
"I found it thrilling to see Thom live!"
Victor Regis
"Thank you for allowing me to relive my antique days"
Aubrey Burl
Anyone else want a copy?

Mishkin,
look at your Private Messages.
Coldrum,
Do you have a Video player?
I could convert a copy to VHS if that would help.
Email me,
PeteG

Pete I would be interested in a copy.
That's pretty exciting to be able to see a solstice ate stonehenge without all these drummers...even if that's on a DVD...
Thanks
