Prehistoric 'Sistine Chapel' under threat from fungus....

The fungus having been introduced accidentally in 2001 initially was confined to the floor but seems to be creeping up the paintings now.....

I seem to remember reading in the press a few years ago about some French Boy Scouts doing the same thing. Apparently they saw some paintings here and assuming they were graffiti did their good deed for the day and washed them off !
10 out of 10 for initiative.
