Evenin' all! Did anyone watch Landscape Mysteries just now on BBC2? What did you think? What do people think of the presentation of such subjects in the media in general?

No - no one told me about it Is it a series?
I liked the 'Buried Treasure' (?) programme on earlier this week about the Bronze Age gold cup and the flattened barrow in Kent. Very interesting. We have some pics of the cup in the eGallery/Artefacts

Excellent programme! I have always been an admirer of Aubrey Manning. He did a super TV programme on geology sometime back and a series on Radio 4 which inluded the tri-radial cairns. He has the right level of intelligent enquiry which doesn't irritate or patronise. This programme is linked to the OU so that must be a factor influencing its style. Nice to see an old bloke like me getting it right!

I agree, the radio pogrammes were excellent. Called Unearthing Mysteries, you can still listen to them here:
