Hello,
After a lot of testing on various browsers and scenarios I have gone live with our updated header theme and a fantastic new set of background images. I'll do a guide and credits for these and the previous set shortly.

You may have spotted our new logo popping up in various places but here it is in all its glory. (well I like it anyway) It has been designed by Mike Honey, many thanks to him for work on this over many months.

While talking about logos and so on we now also have introduction cards (like business cards) and little fliers printed that I can send on to people who would like some. More on this soon.

I appreciate not everyone may like the new logo so I have created a special theme to turn it off and also let you see more of the top images. You will need to register for a user ID and log in here first
http://www.megalithic.co.uk/user.php

Then go to 'My Own Page', click on Select Theme.
Choose 'Megalithic_NoLogo' from the selection box and click on Save Changes.

Alternatively if you don't like the colour scheme at all you can select the 'Extralite' theme which gives you a plain white and grey colour scheme and fewer distractions.

Don't say I don't ever do anything for you...

Yes Andy I think I rather like the new logo. You will be starting a new trend, I think. I would like some of those cards, please. They would come in handy when speaking to people about the portal. They always say "what's that name again".

OK, for a this is for a Megalithic Portal logo mug (one of a limited edition of three prototypes at the moment)

Which standing stones are our new logo a fantasy representation of?

I'm not saying yet but you'll need to name the exact stones with a link to our page for them...

No, Cerrig's first suggestion was closer. Well known in Scottish archaeoastronomy, see the cover of Clive Ruggles Records in Stone for a big clue

The only thing I see missing is a couple of stars in the sky, sorta of tie in with the whole megalithic thing maybe?

Well done Mike, looks great!

Yes, well done, are you coming over to Derbyshire next month or shall I put your mug in the post?

Yes, well done Cerrig. I see the reverse-alphabetic statistical form of guessing has paid off. Luckily there is no megalithic site called Aardvark or you'd still be posting answers the Winter Solstice after next.

You may scoff Sem, but it's a method I used all through school, and I've got a C in O'level Art to prove it, and now, a mug. I rest my case!
Will there be a presentation ceremony Andy?
