Noted discrepancies in the witness reports...one being the duration of the show, anything from 2 mins to 12...another claims he spotted it whilst walking his daughter TO school, even though it happened at night.
Many years ago in Middlesex I was out walking the dog...a crowd of people had gathered on a corner by a pub...all amazed by the really unusual lights swirling in the sky to the east....well they were amazed until I pointed out that Wembley was in that direction and Tina Turner was performing there that night...so it was most likely to be her lightshow reflecting off the low clouds.
Funny how people look to the mysterious unexplained before going for the blatantly obvious...something in the psyche??

Two videos now added to the DM page,
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html
I hope someone posts something that's decent quality and shows it start to finish, or from as soon as they saw it to the finish, although if that existed I'd have cynically expected it to have been on youtube already.
Very odd that it's not had more media publicity.

Whether it's natural or man-made doesn't really matter, imo.
And if they can project such things into the sky, well maybe the whole picture We see could be also?

| But please remember that C2 gave me a right that I talked about him in this way. Legal basis: Immanuel Kant, categorical imperative....

That is quite possible...but the reports do say it happened at night.I am just waiting on an e-mail from a Norwegian friend to see how widely reported it was on their national news.

Albert, The Sun reports it happened in the morning - they usually get their facts spot on

It is the same kind of spiral,it's Fermat spiral.Fons force effect, surely. One said on this forum that spirals are popular in nature,it's true, but not Fermat spiral, which is extremely rare....I found this spiral in rock art,in fons force research and now over Norway....only.

The more I look the more I think it looks like a gone-wrong rocket, slowly spinning and leaking fuel. As for the multiple halos, you get those round the sun sometimes, attributable to ice in the atmosphere.
No doubt we'll hear in due course.
Doubt we'll hear it's fons force though. Google seems to think only one bloke in the world believes in that.

its called Bulava
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8405481.stm
"This is a catastrophe ... Huge funds were siphoned off from Russia's moribund navy for the Bulava project. In fact, billions of dollars have been flushed down the drain," Alexander Khramchikhin, chief analyst at the Moscow-based Institute of Military and Political Analysis, said.
