So, since he was the single first inventer, and lived before the "Tower of Babel" split of mankind, all "later" stone age culture lost that technology during their travels? Have I got that right?
Okay, John, just so we're clear here ...
Please don't bother with the charts on my account - I get the idea.>

Or do you reckon they were contemporary from the begginning of the early British Neolithic?

This would be the best way forward for an evaluation.

Basicly what I am saying is that according to the Book of Genesis Tubal Cain was the first to forge Bronze and Iron artifacts tools and weopens of war which I believe to be a historically true statement so I would say that there has always been an overlap world wide with stone age cultures in the more remote parts of the world living alongside urban civilization but even more so after the confusion of lanhuages at Babel hich I also believe is historicly true
Thus this shows degeneration and not evolution. However I would need o show this idea by drawing up two chronological charts to show this sequence using both conventional and biblical chronology from the post flood Ice Age. John

I hesitate to get involved, but ...
John are you implying that Stone Age technology occurred after "metal ages" ? Or are you saying there has always been an overlap world wide?
I'd say that there are vertually no cultures that remain with the earlier technology if sudden contact makes the more advanced one available, or it is "self discovered". I think your example of Austrailian aboriginal people mistakes maintenance of cultural crafts with even a sizeable minorty living at the level of the earlier technology. Or are you implying that they now make their livings using stone tools? (even a marginal and cursory review of easily accessible news article and other literalature shows your example is false.)

Palaeolithic means Old Stone Age and refers to the period of stone usage by the genus Homo going back over two million years.

Hi Andy; Dave and Sem first let me say that as far as the labels palaeolithic/Neolithic/Copper/Bronze and Iron are concerned it should be noted in this connection that I confine these terms to industries and not ages,
It should also be noted that the australian aborigines some of them are still in the Palaeolithic contemporary with the so-called computer age so no evolutionary concepts here.
hus I believe the "stone age" cultures to be a step backward in Man's Progress and not foward. I also sugest that "stone age" people were contemporary with Mainstream civilizatio. Thus the palaeolithic/Neolithic/Copper Bronze Iron and steel industries could well have been contemporary and spread all over the world in conventional terms about 10,000 BC and reached Scotland England and Ireland about 3215/3000 BC in the Neolithic in my conventional revised time line; John
