These two astronomical lines align to a large number of ancient sites. Scientifically speaking they also however miss a large number of sites.

Yeah, perhaps it's time to mark that line of reasoning down as 'coincidence' then. The human mind tries hard to find patterns in chaos and leads us to very un-scientific conclusions. Please be careful, it'll destroy any credibility you want to build.

Unless I'm mistaken, you've overlaid your star map onto a 'Mercator Projection' style visualisation of the earth's landmasses. Mercator's prjection allows the surface of a sphere to be viewed on a flat sheet of paper, but it results in great distortion in positions and distances. The distortion getting even greater as the offset from the equator increases. So, are you saying that ancient people not only built population centres depending on the position of stars, but used a Mercator's projeciton or similar to do so??

I only ask as Mercators project is a 16th C construct and prior to that maps created using the traditional cartesian co-ordinates produced very strange looking Ptolemaic style maps bearing little relation to actual sizes and shapes of landmass.

Here's a ptolemaic map of the UK. I'm sure the implications for the star map versus earth positional alignment are obvious...

The video I have to say is less convincing than the description.......

Anyone know why the stones obtained their various names?

Have a look at the discussion just started on Argimusco, the Mirror of The Stars

The list of stars at Argimusco is almost exactly the same as those I published in my theory that an ancient civilization used the stars to map the earth.

http://www.amazon.com/Khyung-The-Stone-Astronaut-ebook/dp/B00ADXHQ06

First the Pyramids are Cygnus in mirror format. Cygnus is the only constellation that has a north pole star and also is found on the Milky Way, and in the map theory it occupies the location of Europe/North Africa

The complete list of constellations used in my theory for mapping Asia, Europe, Australia, and Africa the constellations used are Cygnus, Aquila (the Eagle), Ophiuchus, Hercules, Sagitta (the Arrow), Vulpecula, Gemini (the twins), Dracos (the snake?)...and the head of Hydra which appears in a later wrap.

Leo is the reset constellation in the Mayan Reset

Here at Argimusco, the constellations listed are

(SWAN, ARROW, EAGLE, SNAKE, OPHIUCHUS, VIRGIN, LEO, SEXTANS, CROW, HYDRA AND CRATER)

between the two lists there are only a couple of minor differences

The number 11 is the 11 Karanas....

this I have to investigate......

2Still known ", as in not forgotten ?
The Invereen stone is a Class 1 and unlikely to be much earlier than 600 AD .

This star map and ancient civilization business reminds me of the plot of the film Prometheus! Are there any mysteries, ancient or modern that the theory isn't capable of solving?

If you look at the data from the Invereen stone....it does suggest the astronomical data was still known by the Picts circa 1,300 years ago.
