hi stu...many many thanks...i went up for winter solstice and failed miserably (again)... first year for many ive not been to 'the stones' for a solstice or equinox...i had to settle for a couple of cairns in the general vicinity. hopefully i'll nail it now and provide photos as proof! yr a star...warmest regards. hey up,
was there today, 05/01/13, and took a reference...SK28246 70864 accurate to 15ft according to gps....still have to have a good fester from that distance it is very well hidden in the grass.
At the minute you're better off getting across the moor to the south of the circle and heading north....the more direct route from the track is very boggy and tricky to cross.
nice one
stu.

hi all...three times ive tried and three times ive failed. problem is ive got three different grid references for it, all out of synch with each other by as much as 200 metres squared. has any one been recently and got a correct GPS reading for this site?
