I had mentioned the Cleaven Dyke “alignment “ to Dougie a few years ago . Clive Ruggles mentioned it even earlier in Gordon Barclay's “The Cleaven Dyke “ (1998) and is dismissive of it's salience in “Astronomy in Prehistoric Britain and Ireland “ .There are two other cursus that have similar orientations , Bannockburn and Bures St Mary , considered as a percentage of cursus monument alignments , this is very small and would be expected by chance .

I'd go myself, but it would be just to expensive to go all that way and I thought there might be someone close by. Maybe you could do a feature on it if they are successful.
This picture of the sun setting slightly to the south of the Cleaven Dyke in Perthshire was taken on the 9th May 2011. The sun will set in line with the dyke about the 12th May and 1st August. In the opposite direction the sun will rise in
line with the dyke in early November and February. These orientations are commonly found in ancient monuments throughout Scotland and these times were later celebrated as the Gaelic festivals of Beltain, Lughnasa, Samhain and Bride. The dyke was surveyed on the 11th May 2008.
