The main way to Nine Stones Close is fairly easy as well, although you'll miss many of the finer points from the tour of course.

Hi, I went to the meeting and event at Birchover in derbyshire and loved it. The speakers were great. But due to travel complications I missed the walks. I'm intending to go backup there soon to see the places which were being talked about. Can someone tell me what access is like to all the major talking points of the meeting. Are they all public or is permission needed for any of them?

Nothing to do with stones, but recommend you pick up the list of Well-Dressings from Tourist info office and visit one or two. It's a Derbyshire custom that's staged at different villages throughout the 'summer'. (Don't know how the weather will affect their quality, as I've only seen them in fine weather before!)
Joined in the villagers' parade to the blessings of three wells at Eyam in 2010, but that was at the end of August.
Tissington had some beautiful ones a few years ago.
Buxton's are 8th to 16th I see.
