Dear All,
Thanks so much for all the recommendations. In the end we only had time to visit the nine ladies and Arbor Low. My partner took some photos which will appear here in due course

Thanks, I'm sure I'd remember you from the people there, thanks also for joining up, I've just processed your membership.

As posted on the 'live event' page:

Peak District Audio Tours

Gardom's Edge: Roundhouse & Rock Art Audio Trail

http://www.moorsforthefuture.org.uk/visiting-moors/audio-trails/gardoms-edge-roundhouse-rock-art-1

There's also an audio guide to Stanton Moor by Aimee Blease-Bourne who has written a Masters dissertation about Stanton Moor (more about this on Guy's walk)

http://www.moorsforthefuture.org.uk/visiting-moors/audio-trails/stanton-moor-nine-ladies-circular-walk-0

The main way to Nine Stones Close is fairly easy as well, although you'll miss many of the finer points from the tour of course.

Hi, I went to the meeting and event at Birchover in derbyshire and loved it. The speakers were great. But due to travel complications I missed the walks. I'm intending to go backup there soon to see the places which were being talked about. Can someone tell me what access is like to all the major talking points of the meeting. Are they all public or is permission needed for any of them?

...written by our ex editor Vicky Morgan... It's hard to get hold of now sadly, I've been encouraging her to produce a reprint or ebook.

Of course if you can make it on the 28/29th of July there will be loads of us around to join you. Have a good trip anyway.

I'd get up on one of the Eastern Moors, Big Moor, Beeley or Eyam and have a look at the circles up there.

Hi Treen

Nothing to do with stones, but recommend you pick up the list of Well-Dressings from Tourist info office and visit one or two. It's a Derbyshire custom that's staged at different villages throughout the 'summer'. (Don't know how the weather will affect their quality, as I've only seen them in fine weather before!)
Joined in the villagers' parade to the blessings of three wells at Eyam in 2010, but that was at the end of August.
Tissington had some beautiful ones a few years ago.
Buxton's are 8th to 16th I see.
This looks like quite a good website:

Mam Tor might be worth looking at?
