Works in IE 8 and Firefox 12. You don't see the graphic until after you have entered details in the 6 Figure OS Grid Reference field.
I'm not sure if this will work but I will attempt to upload this graphic, hopefully will be here:
PS. Unless you click on this graphic that didn't exist when you started you will get nowhere. Is there a Megalithic Portal award for the worst interface?!
EDIT ADDED:
Extending the search to 1 km I found these (neither of which match the description given):
"A stone circle comprising 22 stones is alleged at this reference, however no trace of these could be discerned on the ground. There are numerous peat mounds in the area and it is believed that these have been misinterpreted." See:
MONUMENT NO. 35385
"Two prehistoric cairns situated on the west-facing slopes of Furzehill. The first at SS 7324144426 is about 12m in diameter and up to 1m high. The second at SS 733464414 is of 17m diameter and 0.5m high. Both have been severely robbed leaving central depressions and irregular rims of stoney material." See:
MONUMENT NO. 35391

I get the 'go graphic' a hatched red square with a green arrow on it, beside the greyed out lat long box, just above the search button.
It appears for me only after entering the name Brisworthy then clicking on the purple square on the map.
Using Firefox on a pc.

It took me ages to work out how to use this feature - it almost seems to be designed to be unuseable!
Anyway - this works:
Follow these steps otherwise you will not get any results.
1. In the Search within field select 250m of selected location (or 100m for a narrower search, or 500m for wider search).
2. Towards the bottom of the page there is a link Click to Search by Grid Reference. For Brisworthy Stone Circle enter the 6-digit OS grid reference "SX565655". Then click on the go graphic that will appear to the right.
3. Click on Search
Easy when you know how - impossible otherwise!
PS. There is nothing prehistoric on the NMR or HER within 500m of SS725453.

This is a great find James, we like modern circles as well. Could you email the photo over, we'd love to display it even though it looks to be modern. Look for the 'contact editor' in the top left menu. As it's not on all the online aerial views it must be pretty recent.
Cheers

Just looked on te Bing maps aerial views, and I guess this is what you are describing
More and more "features" being created here all the time - they are quite some "garden artists" there. I see a heart, and all sorts of circles of trees etc etc. Looks a fabulous place !

Hi Captain,
I must admit I had started to suspect it may be a modern fake - not showing up on Google, or the OS map, and just looking a little too perfect for an ancient circle. So sorry everyone for wasting your time with what appears to be an oversized garden statue!

Thats certainly not any real ancient stone circle. (The real Exmoor stones are usually between a foot and 2 feet tall, and nowadays mostly broken, fallen or missing).
But I remember walking through Furzehill the other year and noticing all sorts of "garden features" built in and around the expensive houses there. Take a look on Google maps, and you will see several circular features, some of which have stones as a part of them at SS727452. And down by the stream, there is a whole "avenue" of large stones, with a circle at one end, with an "oval maze at the west at SS724450. And it looks like another one at SS727453.
If your grid ref is accurate, it sounds like another one has been erected.

Hey guys, and thanks for your replies. I'll try and describe it as best as I can (I do have a photo of it on my harddrive but can't work out how to upload it ).
It's a circle of 8 upright stones, each one 4 or 5 foot high and a foot or two wide, standing in pairs side by side in four corners with a narrow gap between. The diameter of the circle is perhaps 6 yards or so? There's a flat stone sunken into the ground in the centre. The stones are in a farmer's field (so not on StreetView) and nor are they visible on Google Earth (I think this is pretty close to their location, though: null).
I hope that isn't all too confusing and gives you more of an idea as to what I'm on about

There a few stones on Exmoor we don't have listed - there are loads - many are very tiny and buried in the grass.
Devon and the Exmoor HERs are both on the Heritage Gateway, I can't for the life of me work out how to just do a search by location
http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/advanced_search.aspx?refine=true
The 'Geographical Reference Entry' doesn't seem to work for me
