We tracked a unicorn many years ago to find the answer to your question and finally found one here -

To be honest, it looked and tasted fishy!

Which ancient mystery do you want the answer to?

What does a unicorn taste like?... Sorry rubbish joke

But seriously I'd love to see a Timelapse Film of the Pyramids being built.

Feanor and tdruisin
The answer is by rote, but sometimes mislearned or misremembered.
I remember a book given to me many years ago (I was about seven I think) which began with a Rudyard Kipling poem I have always remembered as -
"I have six honest serving men who taught me all I knew
Their names are what and why and when and where and how and who."
In fact, my memory got it totally wrong, but the sentiment of the poem still remains. The actual quote is -
I Keep six honest serving-men:
(They taught me all I knew)
Their names are What and Where and When
And How and Why and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
 I send them east and west;
But after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.

Aah to be seven again.. or was that seven and a sixth?

Here's a fun Question:
How did the Neoliths pass such accurate information from generation to generation?

Great question, that did just go unnoticed didn't it. The answer may be that we have a too narrow definition of written language. On my web page I draw a link from literal to symbolic representations as found on cave walls and carved into stone. These enigmatic lines, shapes, and figures were also found on bone and clay which were transportable. The transfer to symbolic thought can also be applied to beads that were traded for goods. As a group the decision was made to assign a certain value to the beads. That's what paid for New York more recently. The Sumerians use a system of sealed clay containers, the markings of various pots may well have been identifiers of source and or destination. Do not the Scots convey meaning through plaid patterning?

Well the engraving in Europe is shoddy and substandard. It wasn't a very helpful stone age at all. People pay good money to do the sites (which are inconveniently placed far apart may I add) and what do they get?

There were skilled cave-painters and rock engravers. Why didn't Neolithic/ Bronze/ Iron age do any cave art to explain what was going on? Does McDonald's weaken your intestines?

there are all sorts of vestigial body parts, nipples on men... what i do find interesting is milk and gluten intolerance rates among asian jewish and african peoples. I am of south east asian descent through a vietnamese mother and have a blue eyed father of german stock. Interestingly my father can drink gallons of milk without a care in the world and my mother and i cannot
