Hello all - new to the forum and have a question for you.
I've just had a great walk up around Little Langdale and up on top of Lingmoor Fell. There is of course a lot of pre history up there with the axe factories and the rock art at Copt How. As I was walking down off Lingmoor Fell at the NW end I came across a cup and ring mark on a nice flat platform. The view from here is directly over to Pike of Stickle and Mickelden.
The cup is well formed and I am aware of how some of the Borrowdale volcanics weather to appear to be a cup or ring mark - but this is definitely man made.
I will post an image at the weekend when I get home - in the meantime I just wondered if anyone else has seen this?
