We get crows here but they come in different types (just like the cockatoos do) the thing they ask here is "are they local?" the next thing to ask is "are they ravens or crows and what's the diff?" The photos posted here do not look like a crow because of it's head (looks more like an eagle - but I've been known to be wrong before).

javascript:%20x()

last year saw 13 moons
the white crow and the harsh winter come this year
next the drought
then next the famine
the crow is a signal of the imbalance of nature

Coronis ("crow" or "raven"), daughter of Phlegyas, King of the Lapiths, was one of Apollo's lovers. While Apollo was away Coronis, already pregnant with Asclepius, fell in love with Ischys, son of Elatus. A white crow which Apollo had left to guard her informed him of the affair and Apollo, enraged that the bird had not pecked out Ischys' eyes as soon as he approached Coronis, flung a curse upon it so furious that it scorched its feathers, which is why all crows are black. Apollo sent his sister, Artemis, to kill Coronis because he could not bring himself to. Afterward Apollo, feeling dejected, only regained his presence of mind when Coronis' body was already aflame on a funeral pyre. Upon a sign from Apollo, Hermes cut the unborn child out of her womb and gave it to the centaur Chiron to raise. Hermes then brought her soul to Tartarus

This site is dedicated to pre Roman times, but it is possibly important to venture into the period when the romans arrived to better realise what that invasion also mean't for what was here previous to then.
Just as the invasion of the Normans created a vast alteration also.
I suspect our upside down friend chimera could rattle off pages and pages of so called facts about the Roman period, but that would do what it is designed to do and simply veil the actuality of why they came, and what they imposed here.
