Hard luck Sem, get well soon.
FrogC I noticed the rock art we had from Anthony Weir and split them into some new pages, I'll look forward to seeing some of them.

Having bought Gabriel Blamires "Guidestones to Langdale.." from MP I am sure I could post at least 100 probabilities.
Trouble is I'm in the middle of a dose (per day) of 4000mg (yes thousand) of flucloxicilin and 3000mg amoxicilin to fight an an infection caused by fighting with next-door-but-one's cat. Little bugger wouldn't get off my computer chair and now I can't get off the toilet due to the side-effects of the medication.
Don't believe me? .... neither does my boss.

Yeah read the mast comment and replied but now I am going to have to cross the Kenmare Riverand photograph all the cups and rings scratched on rocks over there There are at least a dozen known examples in that area and they are all difficult to reach or find.
Oh well we all need a challenge!

Clever old coldrum (less of the old she says) found us a news item about your masts, are these the GPRS ones and are the installations are handled sensitively in your view?

Go on, post your speculative sites, you might have made a major discovery, or we can laugh at you, either way it will be fun.

I share your frustration Frogcottage. For every well documented prehistoric site I visit, I 'trip over' dozens of other intriguing possibilities that take up more of my time and my digital camera's memory. My own rapidly growing collection is entitled "Uncertain", then broken down into "stones", "rows", "circles", "lumps & bumps", etc, etc... Can I join the club?

Yes I have tried and I am sure that although it is not a complete record it could be very useful. It is however utterly worthless without broadband. We have to make do with wireless GPRS down here an the heritage map times out before getting to the nitty gritty. One day perhaps South Kerry will catch up a little.

Sem, you're fine to post speculative sites and we'll see what we think of them.
They can't be worse than some other people send us

Hi FrogC
I totally understand your problem. I have photos and grid refs for loads that I am 100% sure of and that includes a number of rows and two circles. However submissions to Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust have met with no response.
Even more frustrating are natural rock outcrops that seem significant (often inter-visible with known sites).
I have put some of these on MP but there is always the feeling that if you post too many you will get a bit of a reputation, so I tend to stick to those that are pretty obvious or have an historical backround.
Good luck.
