Had the enormous pleasure of walking up Hergest Ridge yesterday morning, 1) to visit the Whet Stone http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=16307 and 2) a bit of a Mike Oldfield pilgrimage too.
There appears to be stone rows and disturbed ring cairns on its vast summit area; now I'm thinking they're old field boundaries (but how old?), or clearance from the old race track up there (but that's a bit distant - I think if it's clearance, it's localised).
MAGIC map has nothing, neither Pastscape, and not even the excellent Herefordshire SMR.

Anyone have any local knowledge or insights into the piles and lines of stones?
Thanks
Tim
