Extrapolation of this remark results in recursive hermeneutics, but hey! thats your phenomenological problem not mine

Hi Chaps
Here's a quote from that weblink:
"We know the place had special "power" because of the wildly successful results obtained by this otherwise unexceptional man. We speak of being in the right place at the right time."
This is a fantastic piece of panglosian logic, I know you lot don't like it when I talk about this, but it is important.
It is exactly the same logic as saying the bridge of my nose is the right shape to ensure my glasses don't fall off my face.
Using this logic anything at all associated with Hitler can be made "special" by retrospectivly making it the vector of success.

It is said by someone and explained by someone else that British culture is the same as French. However, Aboriginals do not say their songs travel the Underground electric grid.
"These songs may also be used for navigation, as they describe where, for example, waterholes may be found in the desert.
Songlines are an intricate series of song cycles that identify landmarks and subtle tracking mechanisms for navigation.
In the Sydney region, because of the soft Sydney sandstone, valleys often end in a canyon or cliff, and so travelling along the ridge lines was much easier than travelling in the valleys. Thus the songliness tend to follow the ridge lines, and this is also where much the sacred art, such as the Sydney Rock Engravings, are located. In contrast, in many other parts of Australia, the songlines tend to follow valleys, where water may be more easily found."
This physical geography "singing" is reinforced in the desert by "signpost" marks on described rock outcrops which point the way to the next waterhole, vital for survival. The songs are an "aide-memoire", like guide directions : "take the second road left, go 2 miles and turn right at the cafe and turn left at the next junction, you can't miss it.."

'... Aboriginal culture explains [this] through its concept of "songlines," magnetic and vital force flows that emanate from the earth, crisscrossing the continent. Aborigines believe that they can project their psyche or inner consciousness along these songlines as a means of communicating songs, stories, and knowledge over great distances. It is said that songlines were once a sacred tradition that stretched across the entire earth, and, in this way, cultural knowledge was shared worldwide.'
