 The site near Queen Camel is South Cadbury Castle - there's quite a bit written about it here on the portal (click on the link).

When I lived in Yeovil I could see it from the end of my road. Last time I actually visited it was on a special school trip from junior school, aged around 10!

 A question that arrived by e-mail, posted with permission:

My name is Cheryl, and I live in Indiana. I am currently writing a fictional book about King Arthur, and I would like to ask you a question. Since I have set his lifetime in the 7th century, would it be most likely that Camelot would have been a wooden fortress?

I located the site of his main stronghold at Queen Camel. Since most of what I have written has come from my imagination, (I hate research!), I was questioning that what I wrote might be possible.
