Sem,
I am a straight forward Yorkshire man, I do not lie, and will admit if I am wrong.
I do not mean to sound bullish, I am not, its just that people have forgotten to be positive, they are so afraid of upstting anyone, that they just stay quiet and watch big brother.
We will meet soon, Sem, I look forward to visiting the land of the red dragon.

I think Kevin, in his normal bullish and aggressive way, has a good point (do you speak to people the way you write? I'd love to meet you).
History and archaeology are not pure science but a mixture of both plus the biases of the people involved. They are about and written by people, and most people (esp Kev) defend their own turf.
For good or ill we're all human, which is what makes the Portal delightful, informative, amusing and at times downright frustrating.

Condros,
I have concluded that MASTERS OF THE PAST, are not too good at seeing forward.
They preserve the past as they know it, because they are held in esteem .
If they pull down the past in any way, then they will not know anymore than anyone.
They will almost become redundant immeadiately.
They will not be able to absorb new information and comprehend it as fast as those they are supposed to be teaching.
Hence you have total resistance, so even if they know something is provable against the status quo, they will bury it, they are afraid of change.
This is trebely true in institusions, if you move a chair out of place they almost freak.
They are AFRAID.
For the times they are a changing.
Those that can adapt will survive, if they are prepared.
If a fish is thrown out of water, it doesn't survive.

If DNA research is as advanced as we are to believe by the media and some scientific publications, Wouldn't the discovered evidence prove (to a degree) where ancient peoples moved to and from ??? Although it's mentioned, it may be generations before it becomes "common knowledge". Since "history" is taught using in some cases outdated information, such as the "Columbus Discovery" falsehoods are still promoted by the academics -that should know better, but refuse to include new information in their curriculum, So much for truth !!!!
