"Are there any known barrows near this circle?"
Kevin, theres a decent sized round cairn 1.4km NE. The best way to check for other features, is by going to a 'site page' & clicking on the 'i' icon. It'll take you to the Magic map & you'll be able to see scheduled monuments in the vicinity.

The captain,
Cheers, I couldn't place it in my burl, now i can thank you.
It is the way it is sited at the tip of that mountain of chalk (I presume )
Burl describes the stones as glacial erratics, possibly origonally 42, and that a central cist may have been ploughed out in the 1800s.
I have noted other megaliths sited at the tip of similer hills, and have followed strong flows of a force I detect from that sort of point.
Are there any known barrows near this circle?
