Thanks; will take a look when another giving / receiving occasion is upon me! I received the county archaeologist's guidebook as a valentines' day present in Ludlow last weekend! Out of 83 historic sites covered, 27 are Iron and Bronze Age. As far as I know, Shropshire does not have a definitive, comprehensive, dare I say exhaustive prehistoric guidebook.

Tim, have you checked out the Shire 'Regional Archaeology' series? I'd guess Shropshire is covered in the Central England volume, which can usually be picked up on ABE Books for a couple of quid...

I am wanting to see what written guides there are to ancient places in the county of Shropshire. I am aware of the Michael Watson guide, and possess Shropshire from the Air, which has a lot of useful info - but any others are appreciated!
