Roman Extravaganza,1st-2nd July 2006
The National Roman Legion Museum’s annual Military Spectacular brings the Romans alive in the centre of Caerleon town. In the Amphitheatre The Ermine Street Guard will be training, and Ars Dimicandi, an Italian gladiator group, will demonstrate their skills. Children will have the chance to march in the 'Junior Legion'. There will be Roman crafts such as weaving, wood and metal-working, and stalls selling Roman-inspired goods. 11:00-17:00 Saturday and Sunday. Admission: £4 adults, £2 concessions, £10 family ticket (2 adults and 3 children). Heritage in Wales members: 25% discount.
