I agree with you about Stonehenge. It will be radically improved..... eventually!

The ball at the Rollrights was temporary - artwork by Kapoor, and long gone. It was actually very effective IMO. I suppose people who visited while it was there had a legitimate beef about spoiling the atmosphere, but most people loved it. So what can you do?

Just been looking at aerial views of Stonehenge. I was there in 1958 when there was no car park and no restrictions on entry. I just wandered around at will. Not many other people about either. Is that a bitumen path across the site? And it looks as if one of the small circles has been destroyed. Whoever was responsible might call it 'preservation'. I call it desecration. And who decided to put what looks like a stainless steel ball in the middle of the Rollright stones, a site that I used to visit often.
