Hi folks,
Weekend event a success ! Thanks to the 20 or so people that came on my walk. Hopefully I gave you a taste of this magical landscape and it's truly glorious history. We made £88.80 profit on the food stall so we will be sending £100 to Mustard Tree to help them feed hungry and desperate people. Always a good feeling. Another positive outcome from Stanton Moor. Well done Andy on all your work. Your love of stones is intense. 4,000 years ago you would have been our chieftain !!
So good to meet more portallers. We are as one.
It was superb to take a group to the Ladies and not one person even thought of sitting on the stones. Reverance, respect and understanding. Thank you.
I have 10 copies of Aimee's PhD thesis on CD entitled "Stanton Moor - An Ethnographic Study" that arrived too late to hand out on the walk so I am happy to post one to anyone that would like to know more about Stanton Moor. It made me cry reading bits of it. Thoroughly recommended. Email me at pointbutted@googlemail.com if you would like a copy.

Roll on the next event . . .

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
