Re: The Megalithic Portal Live in the Derbyshire Peak District Sat/Sun 28/29th July (Score: 1)

Hi folks,
Just worked out the route of my walk. It is going to be 1.4 miles up and down (mainly up) moderately rocky paths to finish at the Nine Ladies. To return to Birchover will be 1.5 miles (mainly downhill) so a total of 2.9 miles of reasonably vigorous walking. We will see 4 stone circles, about 20 cairns, 4 venerated natural rock features, several cup marks, 2 ancient quarries, and some sensational views of Derbyshire. It can get windy up on top of the moor and the paths are fairly rocky so I would recommend walking boots and Goretex. Hopefully it will be gloriously sunny with an amazing sunset . . .

I am really hoping to give you all a proper sense of place here in this majestic ancient landscape.

See you in 2 weeks. Please note revised shorter distance to make it a bit more accessible.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
