<title>Ancient artefact is dug up</title>
<link>http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=2146412904</link>
<description>. An ancient artefact has been dug up on a building site in Mtunzini on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast and rescued by local architect Jeremy Steere.

Experts said the round clay “pot-mask” was the oldest and best-preserved example of its type ever found in the uThungulu district.

It indicates the existence of a 2 000-year-old culture based on crops and cattle, which thrived in the Mtunzini area at the time the Roman empire collapsed.
