Small univallate hillfort located on the end of a spur projecting south-east from Mynydd y Gaer. The bank and ditch system measures about 20m wide by 3m high overall where best preserved.</description>

Caerau Hillfort is a large triangular multivallate Iron Age hillfort occupying the western tip of an extensive ridge-top plateau in the western suburbs of Caerau and Ely, Cardiff, Wales. The old parish church, St Mary’s, and a small ringwork, almost certainly a medieval castle site probably contemporary with the church, stand within the hillfort on the north-eastern side.</description>

Also lots of flint and neolithic pottery that probably originated from within the chamber. . Chambered Tomb in South Glamorgan. The Welsh name for this site is Gwal-y-Filiast, the Greyhound Bitch's Lair. There was once a mound of earth or stones covering this Neolithic burial chamber, but only slight traces remain.</description>

The excavation at St Lythans is now about to start, details of forthcoming Open Days are here.. Chambered Cairn in South Glamorgan. This chambered long cairn is covered by an almost rectangular mound, which has a stone cist half way along the northern side.  It has a forecourt to the east created by the horns of the cairn, allowing entrance to the main burial chamber.</description>
