Driving through the village of Reynoldston on the way up to the top of Cefn Bryn, and I saw a stone standing on the village green, so went for a look. Turns out to be a nice stone standing here, erected as part of the millennium celebrations.

Volunteers from the Megalithic Portal Society will be available in the car park at Rhossili to direct and guide people on walks to the many prehistoric sites in the area.
Waun Llwyd cairn

There does not seem to be any official record of this cairn, so it may be a new find.. Waun Llwyd cairn is a largely ruined and robbed monument. It is found next to an Ancient stream that now runs dry except in very wet weather, quite close to the present day source of the river Usk . It has mostly disappeared except for a few stones protruding through the scrubby vegetation. The central Cist is the only real indication that this is a genuine cairn, as most of the stones have been long robbed, as is the norm in this part of Wales, especially with the lower mountain slopes.
