]]>. Barrow Cemetery in VestfoldIn the centre of the town of Askim there is an Iron Age cemetery. It is very close to the modern hospital. Some of the barrows are inside a public park area and can easily be observed. The vegetation has been cut short and only some large trees are growing on them. The other part of the cemetery is inside a thick forest in the garden of the hospital and is almost impossible to observe. The area has also been enclosed with a steel fence. It measures more than 320 x 125 metres, and at the last investigation more than 90 barrows were found.
