A 12 acre Iron Age hillfort in Leicestershire with rampart and ditch.  A well-defined and prominent entrance breaks the rampart and when excavated traces of a cobbled roadway and a guard house with strong masonry walls were revealed.</description>

The ruins of a 22 acre iron age hillfort on the southern and western side of Breedon on the Hill, Leicestershire. Most of the south and east sides have been destroyed by quarrying. A single bank and external ditch pass round the west side of Breedon Church churchyard. </description>
