A well-defined and prominent entrance breaks the rampart and when excavated traces of a cobbled roadway and a guard house with strong masonry walls were revealed.

Most of the south and east sides have been destroyed by quarrying. A single bank and external ditch pass round the west side of Breedon Church churchyard.

Update - Iron Age guard dog�s skeleton goes on display at Harborough Museum, guarding the treasure. A collection of Iron Age artefacts discovered in Leicestershire has gone on display in the county. More than 5,000 silver and gold coins were discovered on the site of a former religious enclosure near Harborough.

Guided Walk to Bury Camp and Old Hays, Ratby, Sun 18 July. Hillfort in Leicestershire. Alleged Roman Legionary fortress, though now thought to be a probable Iron Age hillfort: Late Bronze Age and Iron Age pottery and a Roman pottery sherds found.
