Community Dig at The Knapp, 25th June 2011 to 17th July. A potentially prehistoric enclosure with evidence of later activity dating to the medieval period. Following the past discovery of prehistoric flint tools as well as stone axe fragments there is a considerable chance of there being a prehistoric, possibly Neolithic settlement on ‘The Knapp’.
