Vitrified Hillfort in Yorkshire. The fort stands on the summit of a steep hill above the River Don, it is oval in shape and covers about 10,000 square metres (108,000 ft²), surrounded by a ditch that was originally 1.5–2 m deep and a bank consisting of a rubble core with stone facings held together with timbers.</description>

For many years there have been rumours about a stone circle on the common, so the Wadsley and Loxley Commoners society obtained permission from the landownlers, Sheffield City Council, to do a non-invasive survey of the area in which they suspected the circle would be.</description>

Sculptured Stone in Yorkshire (South). St Peter's Minster at Conisbrough (also spelt Conisborough). The 12th-15th century church, 4 miles NE of Rotherham, stands on an Anglo-Saxon site. In the church there are two early Medieval grave slabs, which once made up a tomb-chest. Although these are not pre-Conquest, they are an excellent set of carved stones - said to be the finest funery slabs in England.</description>
