markj99 visited on 28th Jun 2011 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 4 Borve Standing Stones are close to a beach track at the small community of Borve. Dun Bharpa is accessed via Borve, a worthwhile detour up to a large almost intact cairn.

A pair of Standing Stones in Barra, one of which has fallen. The standing stone shows 5' above ground level, the fallen stone is 16' long but is now almost completely buried with only its tip showing. The stones are 26' apart.

Borve Standing Stones submitted by Andy B : New Use for the Standing Stone at Borgh! The 1940s OS map shows two standing stones at Borgh. The current map is correct in showing only one remaining upright - the southerly one has fallen over. It looks as though this remaining one could give way quite soon with this usage?
