Burgh on Bain
Burgh on Bain submitted by Catrinm : The trees appear to have grown a lot in 11 years since last photo . One is a huge oak . This looks like a round barrow but is apparently a Neolithic long barrow . You can walk around and on it . (Vote or comment on this photo)

Look on the Env Agency lidar (icon next to that for CAMRA). There is a faint set of concentric rings around the barrow. Also, there is little sign of excavation or robbing

Sir/Madam.
When visiting the site at Burgh Top I noticed to the south what looked like a huge barrow but there is no record of it anywhere.

Re The barrow at Burgh on Bain yes there is a barrow being local I lived in the village in the 70s and all the residents were aware of it. Nothing documented that I know and residents mostly no longer with us
